CLASE AZUL “ULTRA” INTERNATIONAL INTRODUCTION
“EXPERIENCE ONE OF THE FINEST TEQUILAS IN THE WORLD…”

Clase Azul Ultra Extra Anejo TequilaWorldwide Launch of Tequila Clase Azul ULTRA in Cabo San Lucas, MX

The Award Winning Master Distiller and Founder of Casa Tradicion Introduces “One of the Finest Tequilas Ever Produced!”

The subtle sounds of waves crashing on the beach at the Marquis Los Cabos accompanied paparazzi-like fanfare as perhaps one of the finest Tequilas ever produced was introduced to the world. Clase Azul “ULTRA” is the latest offering from Mr. Arturo Lomeli, the Award winning Master Distiller of Clase Azul Reposado® and La Pinta Pomegranate Infused Tequila®. Clase Azul ULTRA is an Extra Anejo Tequila produced in the Arandas region of Jalisco, Mexico that will garner a retail price of approximately $1,700 in the U.S. This limited production Tequila represents a collaboration of excellence in producing the “Best of the Best” of Mexico: the best Tequila presented in a stunning, hand-crafted decanter. Only 100 bottles will be produced and available in MX and the U.S. markets.

According to Mr. Lomeli, the founder and master distiller, there are five elements that make Tequila ULTRA so exceptional: 1. Hand-selection of the highest quality Weber Blue Agaves that are aged to perfection for 9 years, 2. Slow cooking of the Agave Piñas for approximately 48 hours in brick ovens, 3. Fermentation with a special, proprietary yeast strain created specifically for ULTRA, 4. A keen, watchful eye over each step in the distillation process; and a generous trimming the “heads and tails” of the distillate to ensure the highest quality Tequila, 5. Using only the highest quality, hand-selected sherry wood casks to produce exceptional taste, perfect balance and robust body. The care taken in producing Clase Azul ULTRA reveals itself in a sublime tasting experience. Clase Azul ULTRA gives us exquisite complexity in its aromas, while tantalizing the palate with its robust body and rich flavors.

Clase Azul ULTRA’s black, ceramic carafe is adorned with Silver, Platinum and Gold by well known, Mexican artisans. The Agave medallion is pure Silver “Ley .925” and is sculpted by the well known Mexican artist León Fernández. The decorative paint on the bottle is pure platinum and is applied by the famous Mexican artist Tomas Saldivar. Finally, the label is applied to this work of art in 24K Gold. Because of the incredible attention to detail, each decanter takes approximately 40 days to produce. The final product is a work of art and is signed by both of the Artists and the Master Distiller.

Mr. Lomeli is the Founder and Managing Director of Casa Tradicion. He has been producing Ultra Premium Tequilas for more than 10 years. His award winning Clase Azul Reposado has received praise in the U.S. with Gold Medals from the highly acclaimed San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Beverage Testing Institute in Chicago, and a 92 rating from the internationally regarded Anthony Dias Blue.

Due to the importance and relevance of tonight’s event there were several notable attendees from the Government, Tequila Production, the Food and Beverage Industry, and the National and International Press. On hand to unveil Clase Azul ULTRA to the world was Governor Narciso Agundez Montaño, the Governor of Baja California Sur. Mr. Miguel Angel Dominguez, the President of the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT: Tequila’s Regulatory Council), was also on stage for the presentation. Each of the one hundred bottles of ULTRA receives a “Certificate of Authenticity” from the CRT.

Mr. Luis Lozano, the Vice President and General Manager of Casa Tradicion, directed the night’s production for ULTRA. He made the final presentation of the ULTRA bottle to the press. Also, Mr. John Hanson, the President and CEO of Tequilas Premium, Inc., was in from the U.S. to address the international press. His company, Tequilas Premium, Inc. is the exclusive importer for the U.S. market for the Casa Tradicion portfolio.

To add to the excitement of the evening, the host hotel - the Marquis Los Cabos - was awarded the “Distinctive T” from the Consejo Regulador del Tequila (CRT). The “Distinctive T” is an award of excellence that recognizes Hotels and Restaurants that promote and protect Tequila’s appellation of origin. This is the first time this distinction has been awarded in Baja California Sur. The Marquis Los Cabos is “One of the Leading Hotels of the World”® and the General Manager Ella Messerli and her staff put on a perfect display of world class service for the “Best of the Best” of Mexico.

Only 100 bottles of Clase Azul ULTRA will be produced. These works of art will be distributed between the U.S. and Mexican Markets.
