Aroma: A really strong agave sweetness that has tones of vanilla and caramel too.
Initial Taste: Sweet, but not overly so. The caramel flavors go along with agave to make for a really nice taste, but it's light enough so that you don't feel like you're drinking maple syrup.
Body: Some nice complimentary flavors start coming in with a nice light wood and pepper notes.
Finish: A nice medium duration linger that continues with the spice notes, agave sweetness and pleasant heat.

The bottle is a very nice and heavy duty glass. The stopper is not cork, but you can't have it all I suppose. This is a wonderful tequila for under $40. I'm looking forward to trying the anejo.

This repo is all about the caramel taste that we come to expect from a reposado, and it starts with the nose - sweet cooked agave caramel goodness in the nose. The smell is rich, but not overpowering.

Taste is more sweet cooked agave, with the caramel shining through from the aging in the American oak barrels. But there is also a dry aspect to the mouth feel and taste. That dryness helps balance it out from being overly sweet and one dimensional. The body is light-medium, and clean with no oiliness.

The finish is very smooth, with a brief burn that vanishes quickly. It leaves with a pleasant aftertaste and tingling in the mouth, with a slight cinnamon kick.

It comes in a handsome bottle made from thick, quality, heavy glass, and a plastic stopper. The stopper slides in and out easily, but seems to be air-tight. Okay, the sticker on the bottle with a picture of a wagon and barrels looks a bit cartoony, but still a nice presentation. The bottle cost me ~$35, and is a great value for a very well-balanced tequila. The price point gets a high rating from me on this one.
