More like an Anejo in flavor and price, not that I'm complaining because it has been aged for 11 months. My score of 85 for the price was because I paid top dollar for it when I could have probabily got it cheaper some place else. I paid $50. The tequila has a great flavor, Buttery, Smooth. A nice full flavored body with a great finish. Not to sweet, a nice lingering finish that makes you want to have another. I would be happy to pay $40 and then give it a 90 for price overall rating 92 and a recomendation to try it if you can

Perhaps different years yield different tequilas, but mine was completely different.

Aroma: A very earthy & woody aroma.
Initial Taste: Some agave & spice, but against heavy with the oak.
Body: Slight bitterness comes through and has a strong mocha like taste.
Finish: Medium linger and the coffee & dark chocolate taste continues for a slightly bitter finish.

I'm not a coffee lover, so this isn't my cup of tea, but it merits a score in the 80s just because it's different and interesting. While it might not please my palate...it doesn't mean someone else won't love it.

Reserva del Senor, NOM-1124, is my favorite Reposado, and a top 5 tequila regardless of time in the barrel. The bottle is attractive but the contents are the real star. Straw in color, bleeds down the side, minimal legs, and will gather after a bit. Citrus/floral nose with some agave sweetness. Thin in the mouth yet holds surprisingly well. Tastes almost like grapefruit at one point on the way down then some heat, oak and a tinge of numbing on the tongue... an excellent finish. This is far more complex than the run of the mill repo, do yourself a favor and get a bottle.
