A terrific mouthfeel, nice and full, with lovely notes of spearmint, cinnamon and spice. A medium-warm finish that definitely hangs around a lot longer than most, giving off notes of light spice, wood and sweet agave in the quite substantial after-finish. This is a unique and very delicious reposado. I recommend tequila aficionados look past the movie star hype and have a serious look at this brand. An excellent tequila! ]]> Sun, 17 May 2015 22:54:51 +0000 <![CDATA[Casamigos Tequila Reposado: ]]> https://www.tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=3392 https://www.tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=3392 I had passed up purchasing a bottle of this tequila once only because I was suspect about the celebrity backing and it was priced higher than other good brands. However, the other night I was in a restaurant and had an opportunity to have a try. So, for $10 I took the chance. The moment I put the drink to my nose, the aroma was wonderful, with it's subtle caramel notes. Initial taste was smooth and flavorful. The finish was just as pleasant. So needless to say, I was impressed and feel this was one of the best (if not the best) reposados that I have experienced. I feel it is worth paying extra for a tequila of the quality. I went back to the store and bought the bottle and am enjoying it now. I think the bottle has an old-time nostalgic look. Nothing fancy, but I like it. I would rate this a 94. Enjoy! ]]> Sat, 16 May 2015 13:23:55 +0000 <![CDATA[Casamigos Tequila Reposado: super good stuff]]> https://www.tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=3289 https://www.tequila.net/tequila-reviews/reposados/discussions/review.html?id=3289 I bought this at Costco for $45. A while back. now I'm down to the last shots. Time for the review I'd say. At home... shot glass in hand. The aroma-nose did improve after the second sip.. Very smooth, Buttery, nice body and finish. And when I say nice I mean 94 pts nice. Very enjoyable. No woodyness . Infact it's pretty close to being a good anejo in body and flavor. You would impress anyone showing up with this stuff. To bad about the price. If it was 10 bucks less I would rate it higher but then the really good stuff is always expensive. but I can get stuff this good for less. then the Presentation is Blah so we get a 91 ]]> Wed, 06 Aug 2014 06:51:14 +0000
