It's better than many of the more well known tequilas, but far from the best that are out there in a similar price range.

Aroma: Light scent of agave, vanilla and pepper.
Initial Taste: Pleasant agave sweetness and hints of spice.
Body: Thin body. Agave, Wood, pepper and mint notes come through.
Finish: Short finish with pepper linger. The finish might be the best part. I wish it has lasted longer.

The bottle is mediocre. The tequila is mediocre. I wouldn't tell people not to get it as too many people think that tequila is a crappy mixto. This is at least known to them and would blow those out of the water. However, for $40ish, I could name 15 reposado tequilas off the top of my head that are the same price or cheaper that are better.

On the nose hints of grass, vanila and fig however overpowered a bit by the off gassing of pure alcohol. The palate had cinammon and fig with a decent body however the finish left a tingle on my tongue almost numbing it. overall enjoyability was not great, price high for the product at around 80$cdn. Presentation average to poor for the price.

I like the look of the older style bottles, the new bottles aren't as nice looking.

Aroma: sweet
Initial Taste: caramel
Body: smooth
finish: zesty

Actually there are 2-3 drinks that I like and Tequila is one of them. (Whiskey is another one and XO I'll have on occasion) So.. unlike other Tequila-Nerds who talk about nose and body I as an average consumer can say that Cabo is a good drink and if you are in a position that you have to chose and drink and there are choices- Cabo is a good choice. It's not the best but very good. I bought it for $50 in Canada from a friend but it actually cost $80 in LCBO in Ontario. Even $50 I think is an over price but hey you can't always get it for nothing so my verdict is good, good but too much money

A friend bought me this as a gift as we are Van Halen/Sammy Hagar fans. We sat down to try this with salt and lime. Took the first shot and WOW! It was awesome. No need for the lime or salt. We did a number on that bottle! Since then We've tried the Blanco and the Anejo, but the Reposado is still our favorite. (Except for the Uno- but who can afford to drink that all the time!)

I'm not an expert on tasting notes, but this is fairly consistent from start to finish. Nice nose, good flavor, and smooth finish. I don't agree with others here about the burn. It seems that the more you drink, the smother it gets!

I rated price high as I get it at hitimewine.net for $28 a bottle.

I rated the presentation lower as I liked the blue bottle, and the newer one is just kind of blah. (Sorry Sammy!)

My two friends and I get together once a week. Since April we've emptied 1 Uno, 3 Reposados, an Anejo, a bottle of Scorpion Mezcal, a Bottle of organic Tequila, Half a bottle of Partida Blanco, and a bottle of Ultima Anejo. Is that bad?

Everyone needs a hobby!

It however was not the best straight. The color was ok and the smell was good, the taste was quick and simple but lacked full body.

But after having a more experienced palette, I have a different opinion.

Aroma: I detected intense aroma of spice and hints of caramel and wood.
Initial Taste: Cabo repo has an oily mouth feel with initial taste of caramel and wood.
Body: Mellow agave followed by notes of fruit, caramel and spice.
Finish: No alcohol burn and a spicy woody finish of meduim duration.

Not my favorite repo for sipping. Maybe it would go better as a mixer.

Cabo Wabo Reposado

Color: light golden hue
Aroma: hard cider
Taste: apple wood smoke taste with a light mouthfeel and tongue numbing bitter burn in the finish

A reposado with a burn of a blanco. Good for cocktails, but not one that I would buy to drink straight. My three favorite reposado at the time of this writing have to be Sol Azul, Casa Noble & Corralejo.

With a yellow golden color, Cabo Wabo Reposado has intense aromas of earthy and floral scents. Less apparent are mild smoke and spice aromas with a hint of caramel and vanilla. Upon initial taste, the tequila has an oily mouth feel and is soft and mellow on the tip of the tongue. Intense flavors of floral, fruit, and earth accents are followed by moderate agave and spice flavors. The finish consists of a hot tingly alcohol intensity and a medium duration of flavor. I rate this tequila at the B range.
