Nose of earth, some floral, a little mint, but no agave to speak of; there is slight sourness, but certainly not the worst nose I've encountered. A sweet and floral entry; some bitterness and a little sour as with the nose, but not unpleasant - I would call it complexity. A nice medium weight to the body on this with a decent coating and oiliness. A slow finish - not a real lingering, but not quick either - rather balanced. It has a sweet, vegetal aftertaste not normally present in bargain brands. This was fairly enjoyable overall - an underlying sweetness with enough other layers to keep it interesting, and a nice body and finish to leave a good impression. I paid $10 for my bottle, which you might assume is strictly a mixer, but I have to say this is a pleasant sipper as well for a low-key night when not trying to impress anyone. A very basic bottle with a plastic screwcap; I hate to say it, but they could probably charge more with a slightly fancier bottle. ]]> Thu, 05 Sep 2013 03:02:52 +0000
