I've tried many budget 100% agave blancos over the past few years - and this is my favorite! I tend to like Casa Herradura products, and this budget blanco is no exception. Has a nice body, aroma and finish. The bottle presentation isn't great, but not bad. ]]> Sat, 09 May 2015 01:52:17 +0000 <![CDATA[El Jimador Tequila Blanco 100%: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=2965 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=2965 Nice natural nose, not terribly overbearing. Tastes about like it smells. Has a nice texture, not real dry. Pretty smooth going down, attributable to the 100% agave no doubt. Wouldn't be something I would drink neat however... It's decent for cocktails and as a better alternative to cuervo or montezuma for buying friendly "shots" at a bar. Very modest price, but for roughly the same money, I HIGHLY recommend the reposado version over this. El Jimador Reposado sips well and makes for great cocktails too. ]]> Fri, 19 Jul 2013 15:51:36 +0000 <![CDATA[El Jimador Tequila Blanco 100%: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=1120 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=1120 I was glad to see this 100% agave tequila once again on the market after a four year hiatus. Not one of my favorites but much better than the mixto version. As an inexpensive mixer it's hard to beat. The medium hot agave nose yielded some citrus while the taste was spicy agave citrus & alcohol. The body & smoothness were high points followed by a medium finish. Taking all things into consideration, this is a much better product than the mixto but not nearly as good as other higher priced blancos. You get what you pay for & for the money El Jimador Blanco is a reasonably priced tequila! ]]> Mon, 11 May 2009 17:59:17 +0000 <![CDATA[El Jimador Tequila Blanco 100%: ]]> https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=1091 https://tequila.net/tequila-reviews/blancos/discussions/review.html?id=1091 Tasted out of a snifter. This blanco begins where their reposado kept going, but with less butterscotch taste. Again, for $17 Bux, I'd be hard pressed to find a better 100% agave value. Aroma: Slight fruit (raisin), tree fruit (cherry), and slight agave. Initial Taste: A semi oily mouth feel, its sweet upon entry with very low bitterness. Initial taste was cherry. Body: Agave, fruit, slight earth, and slight spices. Finish: A sweet semi heated finish of medium duration with a lingering of tree fruit. ]]> Tue, 21 Apr 2009 15:46:28 +0000
