Initial Taste: Earthy agave. A really nice start. Body: Again, fairly thin. The body has plenty of agave flavor for an anejo and is mixed in well with oak, spice, earth and a touch of black liquorice. Finish: A wonderful finish. Muted spice, but a nice complex mix of wood, agave, spice and again the anise. Really smooth finish as well with the medium length linger. This is the best of the bunch of the standard mix. A really great mix of flavors where the wood doesn't take away from the tequila properties. As with all of them, the bottle is classy and the price is right ($19.99 at Mission). Do yourself a favor and get the whole line if you like lowland tequilas. You won't find better at the price point. ]]> Wed, 11 Apr 2012 03:47:13 +0000
