Very well presented , glass is first rate, and boxed nicely. Would be a nice gift. Fist off you will be struck by the beautiful color, your eyes will stare and your mouth will begin to beg... first things first. This anejo is medium oily and sticks to the glass, again, another good sign. A very subtle nose that will not betray what lies ahead, only the sweet agave and a slight floral smell comes through. IMO this is a good sign, when agave setts too long in a barrel (more than 12 months) it easily can lose its character to the barrel. When the nose is as subtle as this you almost always are promised a nice experience. Once on your tongue, it settles "heavy" you taste the caramel and vanilla instantly, but no tingling from alcohol until you swallow. A medium body with a semi bold finish, but short legs. As you would expect, very very smooth. Price is the only issue here. ]]> Tue, 02 Mar 2010 22:53:23 +0000 <![CDATA[Comisario Tequila Anejo: ]]> https://www.tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=729 https://www.tequila.net/tequila-reviews/anejos/discussions/review.html?id=729 Tequila Comisario Anejo * Tasted 7-27-08 * Riedel Tequila Glass Appearance: clear - copper with amber highlights - full body and slow tears Aroma: smoked fruit, hints of oak, cinnamon, and butter Initial Taste: fruit, wood and vanilla Spirit Body: mild alcohol, sweet agave and pepper with mild vanilla and caramel Finish / Aftertaste: mint and vanilla and warm mouthfeel ]]> Mon, 28 Jul 2008 11:09:41 +0000
