Tequila Fina Estampa Reposado

Fina Estampa started when one of the owners of Un Tequila Artesanal, who was and still is today working as one of the main agave buyers for other well-known tequila manufacturers in Mexico, set out to create his own tequila.  He combined his years of experience in the purchasing and grading of quality agave, along with the many years of experimenting with different tequila formulas to create one of Mexico's finest tequilas.

First off, I need to emphasize how loyal I am to blanco. I just prefer the strong agave taste without any distractions.

But since the store near my house only stocked the Reposado and Anejo for this brand, I thought what the hell!

I couldnt be more impressed suprised.

The aroma through the initial taste were very subtle, yet obvious presence of agave. The body brought up the citrus and agave presence even further.

The finish was what I really like in a fine tequila, it left me wanting another sip. it was smooth as silk. The woody presence was faint, just as I like it.

I can see how someone would say it lacks some body to it, but for me, this was a great reposado. And I WILL be getting another bottle.

Todd sent me a bottle of each of his tequilas, and this one stood out, for a blanco, it was very earthy, you could practically feel the thorn from the agce leaf in your mouth, they say the key to a good blanco is to keep the essence of the agave in the blanco, and todd acomplished that! well done. The initial aroma is rather strong, but pleasing, the taste comes off a little bitter, but rapidly fades out into the earthy agave taste i love in a good blanco, full of body and a real smooth finish, this tequila is very well made.

A good, clean reposado. Fairly sweet, smooth, but with little body and depth. Makes a good sipping tequila for someone looking for a softer product.
