April 11, 2007 Written by chekm8 - View all my reviews - Top 50 Reviewer An incredible agave nose that beats a lot of others than I actually enjoy more than Corralejo. The body is on the lighter side of medium with lots of pepper and fruity zest. The Finish is clean with a slight burn of sharp alcohol on the exhale. Corralejo is back to being 100% agave. It dropped that label for a few years. From the story I heard, there was an agave shortage and they went to 70% blue agave for that short time period. Pricing is nice. Should run in the low to mid $30's. The triple distilled repo has a lot of the same taste characteristics with less "bite" than the standard. If drinking straight, I would recommend the Triple distilled. It should run about $15-20 more.
