Tequila Review Brand:
NOM: 1122 Distillery: Casa Cuervo, S.A. de C.V. Importer: SKYY SPIRITS LLC Web Site: http://www.grancentenario.com Gran Centenario Leyenda Extra Anejo TequilaGran Centenario Leyenda is among the first Tequilas to ever be awarded the classification "Extra Añejo." Combining only 100% Blue Agave with an average aging process of 4 years in French Limousin oak barrels, Leyenda has remained the best kept secret in the highlands of Jalisco. The Seleccion Suave process marries the spirit with Tequila reserves that are aged up to fifteen years for richness and complexity, unveiling a light and sweet woodiness, accentuated by aromatic flavors of oak, maple, roasted almonds and cloves. Gran Centenario Leyenda's dark amber color glimmers with highlands of bright copper. With a long warm cinnamon hinted finish, it's perfectly suited for an after dinner snifter or the most refined cocktail. User reviews

January 27, 2009 Written by CaliTequilaSipperGirl - View all my reviews - Top 50 Reviewer The presentation is amber in color. The nose is full of vanilla, caramel and mild fruit. Initial taste is sharp and 'alcoholy' to me. Further tasting reveals the same alcoholy taste, with muted caramel and flora. A significant amount of woodiness can be tasted in the tequila as well. Unfortunately, I don't find any 'agave' in the pallete.
