Don Fulano Anejo Imperial Tequila

Don Fulano's Anejo Imperial is our oldest Tequila, full flavored and warm, five year old aged Tequila in new French oak barrels. Anejo Imperial is a superb and delicate spirit of the highest class that denotes subtle aromas that follow for a long time. The special column distillation and careful aging of this tequila gives it a clear sovereignty through it exceptional quality.

Don Fulano Imperial Anejo NOM 1146 Tasted 5/21/07. On this date I tried this tequila by doing a blind tasting at Zocalo using a snifter. This tequila is an amber brown color and has intense aromas of fruit. There are also moderate aromas of vanilla, spice, and caramel followed by mild earth, floral, and smoke. A soft taste on the tip of the tongue leads to a sweet tequila taste with a small amount of bitterness. The Don Fulano Imperial Anejo flavor contains intense caramel flavors with moderate agave and earth. The tequila also has mild fruit, floral, chemical, and smoke with hints of vanilla and spice. Don Fulano Imperial Anejo finishes with a medium to long duration of flavor and a numbing alcohol feeling. This tequila has been awarded the overall rating of 89 points out of 100. I personally think the regular Don Fulano Anejo is better than the Imperial.
