Tasted 08/22/08 out of double ball glass. I was very impressed with this blanco. Most of my triple distilled experiences have been a little lackluster. However, this blanco was great. A lot of depth and character. A great sipper, and a great bargain (I paid $35 for a bottle).

Aroma: A light nose of fruit, floral.
Initial Taste: Upon entry, it's sweet with no bitterness. A thin mouth feel.
Body: A very nice agave body with hints of fruit (mostly pear) and floral.
Finish: A nice semi heated finish of medium duration.

I was not impressed at all with this tequila. As far as I'm concerned tequila is supposed to have flavor and this had none. It wasn't the slightest bit aggressive at any stage of the tasting process and the initial taste and body were almost exactly the same which was a totally watered down spirit with the slightest hints of flavor that might have been there before the third distillation. yes it was super smooth but mainly because there is nothing there. It's like drinking water or vodka for that matter. They distilled the flavor right out of it. I'm actually shocked it has such a high rating here.

Don Eduardo Tequila Silver, NOM 1110. Crystal clear in color. Sweet spice & agave nose. Sweet fruit with citrus aftertaste evolving into light cinnamon & pepper. Extremely clean & smooth with a slightly hot, middle to back of the tongue finish, leaving with a floral, totally memorable taste sensation. Absolutely no alcohol smell or taste from start to finish, only the essence of agave. A+, top shelf. Quite a remarkable tequila experience.

What award hasn't this tequila won.... Don Eduardo is actually one of the first brands i ever really considered premium, especially the Silver, now at first i was turned away by the whole triple distilled label, but it really does make the silver smoother, does it take away from the pure agave flavor, yes, but it makes up for it in body and finish, Don Eduardo will always have a place on my top shelf.

Don Eduardo Silver ? NOM 1110 ? Tasted on 6/15/07 at 5:00pm. I purchased 1.5 ounces of this tequila at Zocalo in Sacramento, CA and tasted it out of a snifter. The tequila is clear in color. Don Eduardo Silver aromas consist of intense earth and fruit aspects followed by moderate floral and spice. On the lighter side, this Silver has mild smoke. On the tip of tongue, this tequila is mellow and has a medium mouth feel. While the tequila has moderate-to-heavy agave flavor, it is sweet and has only a hint of bitterness. The flavor of this tequila contains intense flavors of earth and fruit followed by moderate to intense fruit. Deeper flavors of Don Eduardo Silver consist of hints of spice. Upon finishing this tequila, there is a medium duration of flavor and a tingly alcohol intensity. I have rated this tequila at 90 out of 100 points.
