Im not the biggest fan of the 'suave' formula. But that doesnt mean its not an excellent tequila. Just not for me. I rated this one on the quality of what its trying to achieve, rather than just my personal opinion. It's definitely suave!

Aroma: A great agave aroma.
Initial taste: On the tip of the tongue, an oily feel and very sweet.
Body: Heres where I tasted the 'suave' kick in. A 'suave' body with earth and agave, and black licorice.
Finish: Of long duration with no bitterness at all.

I can't say it enough, Arette is definitely one of my favorites, The Orendain Family, have really dedicated themselves to the art of making fine Tequila, and this Blanco Suave version is awesome, The Agave aroma in this line is so present, and it literally hypnotizes you, the earthiness leads way to a virtually indescribable body that for a blanco is hard to rate, it has the characteristics of silkiness, and butteryness, that make it very distinctive, the finish certainly gives that off, the smoothness of this product was pleasing, and what can i say about the bottle design, timeless.

Presentation is nice, nothing spectacular and from there all is down hill, nose, aroma, body is all very non-exiting.

This blanco version of Arette is a small step in the right direction for the Orendain tequilas, although not yet quite a stunning blanco at all. The texture is watery and the sharp alcohol notes undermine the nice agave notes and herbal accents that tend to dominate Arette's organoleptic feature. One thing that gets my attention is that it smells too strong, kinda yeasty and mineral at the same time. The main agave notes at the nose and palate are fresh and sweet, but later some salty, slight celery-like notes become present in the tongue and aftertaste. I would love this tequila to offer mich more definition on the flavor structure, because in this version the agave, alcohol and herbal notes appear to the palate in an erratic, disengaged way. There is this touch of artificiality that keeps Arette from climbing all the way to the top, but overall, an above-average blanco to enjoy before spicy foods.
