Tequila Review Brand:
NOM: 1457 Distillery: Cia. Tequilera la Quemada, S.A. De C.V. Importer: 4 Copas USA LLC Web Site: http://www.4copas.com Tasting Awards: Silver Medals in 2005/2006, San Francisco World Spirits Competition 4 Copas Blanco TequilaA double silver medal winner in 2005/2006 at the SF Spirits Competition, 4 Copas Blanco is our white tequila and is considered the ‘pure spirit’ by connoisseurs for its fresh, cooked-agave taste. After it is distilled, 4 Copas Blanco is immediately brought to the bottling line’s receiving tanks where it is dissolved in de-mineralized water and is then promptly filtered and bottled.4 Copas Blanco is a most versatile spirit as it can be thoroughly enjoyed as a sipping tequila due to its extra smooth qualities or as part of a delicious margarita given it's lemon-lime, peppery finish harmonizing perfectly with freshly squeezed lime juice and a squirt of agave nectar!! June 18, 2008 Written by Piņa - View all my reviews - Top 10 Reviewer I can't say this tequila was a disappointment for me, but I cant say I that I was impressed either. From the beginning, much like Tv Jefe's review. I'd have to say my experience was pretty much the same. The aroma was subtle hints of creamy vanilla and fruit. From initial taste to finish, yes-it was smooth. But for me, almost too smooth. As a blanco lover, what I love about blancos is their intensity. I didn't taste anything intense with 4 Copas. For me, it was too light. As always, this is just my opinion. On the flip side, if you are trying to show someone new to tequila that it has a soft side to it, I'd say 4 Copas blanco is the way to go. It won't scare anyone away! I just don't think 4 Copas was my speed for a blanco. And I definitely think its flavor would get lost as a mixer.

August 27, 2007 Written by tvJefe - View all my reviews - Top 10 Reviewer This tequila is very sweet, very smooth, and finishes short. There is a buttery feel in the mouth, but I would be hesitant to call it even medium bodied. It's very, very light. There is a moderate amount of agave, but I didn't experience any "intense" flavors. All in all, I think it's a great effort; and it would probably mix extremely well. Even just for shear contrast between this and Case Noble or Don Valente, it is worth checking out.
