A friend bought this for me for my 40th. I was really disappointed. ON the nose I got tonnes of petroleum product with a little licorice and pepper and just a touch of caramel. The initial taste was similar to the nose but mucho Oak. The body was complex yet I didn't really enjoy it. Finish super long..... one of the longest I have yet experienced. It actually has a load of black licorice to finish. This has sat in my cupboard for over a year now and I continually avoid it so I really don't enjoy it that much. I looked at the price and it was over 100$ cdn, I can think of many tequilas I like more for the price.
Presentation is nice but nothing special. I actually like the blanco presentation the same for much cheaper ( and its one of my favorite blancos).

Aroma: Vegetal, wood, caramel, a bit of smoke, and some agave.
Initial taste: Sweet, wood and vanilla come through first.
Body: There's agave hiding in there somewhere. Some complex flavors of wood, vanilla, and spice.
Finish: It is definitely chocolate-like. The finish is the best part of this tequila, although it is a tad too hot for what I expected.

Interestingly enough, this is my least favorite showing from the Casa Noble line, although that's not saying much because their other tequilas are outstanding. Overall, I wouldn't mind having this again, but I wouldn't make a pilgrimage to find it.

Tasted out of a snifter. For not really caring too much for their blanco, this extra anejo is very tasty.

Aroma: A very vanilla nose with lighter notes of fruit.
Initial Taste: A very sweet entry, NO bitterness, semi oily moth feel, with an initial taste on vanilla.
Body: A body consisting of wood, vanilla, fruit, agave (lighter) and smoke.
Finish: A slightly heated finish with a woody, fruity lingering.

My biggest problem with extra anejos is the loss of agave flavor. But that being said this is pretty good for what it is.

A fantastic, rich tasting Anejo. I enjoy this tequila's thicker, oak and molasses flavor versus the "cleaner" style of anejo.

Casa Noble Anejo has skyrocketed into my number one spot (for now anyway).

A bit pricey, $85 in Western MA, but well worth it for those special occasions

Casa Noble Anejo is aged for 5 years. This is bordering on what many people consider the longest that tequila should ever be aged. And it shows. The nose reveals quite a bit of caramel and smoke. The cooked agave aroma we are so used to from Casa Noble's Blanco and Reposado plays a mild, secondary role. The initial taste is heavy and bitter. One is immediately confronted with wood and smoke with secondary flavors of coffee and chocolate. Even on the tip of the tongue, subtle sweetness is overpowered by the wood in this tequila. Casa Noble Anejo does finish fairly smooth with a medium duration of earthy flavors, but overall I was not a big fan of this anejo.
