Purchased 2/10/10 for $40 a great price for a quality anejo. Sampling as we speak out of a 2 oz. shoot glass. My wife bought this because of the bottle... go figure. Wow, I'll let her buy from now on. This anejo has a nice complex nose, caramel, floral, vanilla and some pepper comes through. Sets in the mouth well, no burn or alcohol residue on the way down. Well balanced, smooth and full bodied but nothing over powering on any aspect. This anejo is slightly oily and leaves some tears. If I want a great tequila that everyone will enjoyand not break the bank, this is it. There are many excellent anejos, this is most certainly one to consider.

I bought this in NY for $49, which is a very good price for an anejo this good. It's pretty oaky, but also has a nice hint of butter/butterscotch flavor. A very notable aspect of this is it's smoothness; while it's slightly numbing, it is still incredibly smooth. This is a pretty complex anejo - if you told me I was drinking a $100 tequila I would believe you. A great tequila overall; one of the better I've had. If it were more widely available and had a touch more agave flavor I'd consider making this my go-to Tequila. This is definitely worth trying if you get a chance though, and a wonderfully made tequila!

Dos Lunas Anejo NOM 1124 Tasted on 7/18/08 at 9:00pm. I tried this tequila at the Grad Tequila Bar and tasted it in a snifter. With a golden amber brown color, this tequila has intense aromas of floral and earth. Other aromas include moderate vanilla and caramel with mild fruit and spice. The tequila has a medium mouth feel and on the first sip is sweet with no bitterness. Dos Lunas Anejo's moderate to intense flavors of floral are followed by moderate notes of caramel, wood, and agave. With a medium duration of flavor, tastes of mild fruit and vanilla with hints of earth and spice bring this tequila to a slightly numbing finish. Dos Lunas Anejo has received the rating of 88/89 points out of 100.

The nose has lots of caramel, leather. Taste has butter, vanilla, sweet with a little spice and subtle well balanced oak. It's a full-bodied anejo with a slight oily feel, very little alcohol burn with good agave flavor. At a price of $42, it's a steal! Very attractive modern looking bottle. It's easy to see why this anejo won the gold at the 2008 Agave Spirits Challenge, you will love it.
