Heaven Hill to Launch Tabasco Tequila

Kentucky's Heaven Hill Distilleries is teaming up with a Louisiana company on a spicy Tequila to be introduced this month in Indiana, North Carolina and other markets.
Tabasco Spicy Tequila carries a suggested retail price of $21.99 for a 750-milliliter bottle. Heaven Hill, based in Bardstown, has a licensing agreement with McIllhenny Co., maker of Tabasco pepper sauce. Suggested drinks include a "Spicy Maria" and a shot with salt and a wedge of lime.
A distillery in Jalisco, Mexico, will make the tequila. Heaven Hill will bring it to Kentucky next year.
