Canteen is Tempe's newest and only Modern Tequila Bar. Located in the heart of downtown Tempe just a few blocks from the Arizona State campus. If you want to experience something different Canteen is the place for you. Not your typical "college town hangout". The culinary excellence is one you will not forget. More up scale and finer dinning than usually found in the area. Booths, tables and leather couched conversation pits make for a very nice ambiance. The menu is diverse and changes from time to time a couple of selections at a time. The food is excellent. I had the Braised Pork Shank. My wife had Halibit. Both were outstanding. The tequila list is 85 items long. It will take awhile work my way through it. If your into Margaritas like me, I recommend the House version. They make their own mix and use a good quality tequila in the well. Excellent!!! Check it out
Great Food, great selection and a great staff. The only "knock" (if there is one) would be food cost. But the quality of food is very high.
