Probably because I've had it so many times that I just know what to expect...and that's exactly what it delivers.

Aroma - Not much to it. Slight alcohol scent, but pleasant.
Taste - There is a very light agave taste.
Body - Thin.
Finish - Easy, smooth and not much to it. Very easy to drink.

Price - At $29.99 at Costco and a lot of other stores on sale, it's an easy tequila to get, mix and is affordable. As with all of the Patron types, the bottle is very nice.

I would also agree with the other reviewer here that Patron Tequila is overrated. After taking several weeks to finish a pint I was very disappointed and completely under-impressed. The initial taste is clean and fairly smooth but that is the only positive point I can give this tequila. I have sampled various other premium and non-premium Tequilas and this stuff does not live up to its reputation. For me, the finish was by far the worst part of the experience and terrible. My overall impression was an overwhelming prolonged alcohol burn with an unpleasant bitter aftertaste. I was expecting something very smooth and fairly mild based on other reviews and hype, but this is not even close. Again, I gave Patron Silver a nice long test run and every benefit of the doubt, but needless to say I will not be purchasing again.

I like the presentation of their line - very distinct, yet not overdone; classy, but not pretentious.

There is an alcohol presence to the aroma as there often is with a silver. The agave is present, but I wish it was a bit more evident. There are slight floral and earthy tones as well, but neither very distinct. While the finish isn't overly dramatic this often leaves my mouth a bit numb for a while - sometimes I can even feel it the next day. This isn't an incredibly complex drink, but more on the crisp, light and easily enjoyable side.

I most recently purchased this with a bottle of Corazon blanco and felt like this one was slightly more pleasurable to drink. If you're going to mix a high-end tequila, or if you prefer silvers, I would recommend this. But if you're just looking to sip a great tequila I'd go with an anejo any day.

I don't feel let down, yet I wasn't WOWED either. I definitely don't see myself buying a bottle of this. As a matter of fact, I was 'forced' into drinking this because it was the ONLY tequila they had at the bar I was at.

Aroma: A bit difficult to detect. On the subtle side definitely. Hints of earth and agave.
Initial taste: A thin mouth feel, on the tip of the tongue there was slight bitterness.
Body: A subtle body of agave, earth, and spices. I like my bodies to be bolder.
Finish: Of short duration, with no alcohol burn.

I find the flavor to be mediocre. It hasn't been a smooth drink for me and it kind of left me with a bad after taste. Because of the Patron name it has gotten a lot of hype. However, from what I've seen the majority of the people drinking it are either drunk college girls or guys trying to show off their wallets... All and all I feel that for the money there are much better tequilas out there.

I enjoyed this crystal clear spirit in a small Cognac snifter where it released a clean, earthy agave nose accompanied with light alcohol. It initially had a hot, peppery taste but softened into flavors of agave, sweet citrus & spice. This light bodied tequila soon opened up with more hints of alcohol, spice & a sweet aftertaste that followed all the way through a medium duration finish. There was also an open sensation due in part to the alcohol which was present through the entire tasting. I thought this tequila could be smoother considering the Patron name & the price. Patron Silver

Color: clear
Aroma: agave
Taste: clay with ground black pepper and light on the tongue with help from the ice finishing with a blanco burn

For blancos I would much rather drink either the Chinaco, Corralejo or the Milagro. My current top three blanco picks as of the writing of this review. If in a pinch as I was with the bar only have Patron as the "top shelf" Tequila brand then Patron is what you are stuck ordering.

On this date I tried this tequila at the Davis Graduate Tequila Bar using a snifter. This tequila is clear in color and has intense floral and earthy aromas with moderate fruit and spice. There are also hints of smoke to this silver tequila. A mellow taste on the tongue leads to a sweet entry with mild bitterness. The Patron Silver flavor contains intense earthy and floral flavors and moderate to intense agave. The tequila also has mild intensities of fruit and spice followed by a small amount of alcohol bite to the finish. Patron Silver finishes with a medium to long duration of flavor and a numbing alcohol feeling. This tequila has been awarded the overall rating of 87/88 points out of 100.

I did this tasting side by side with a new bottle of El Tesoro (older white label) and liked it just as well. There were distinct differences but not one better that the other. The Patron was lighter and sweeter with a medium intensity, lighter body and bright agave nose. It has more of a grass/herb character, zero wood, with a simple but fairly strong to complex taste and not too much burn going down from a balanced alcohol finish. I asked myself which one I wanted more of after the tasting and it was the Patron.
