Default Fathers Day specials on Corrido Tequila

Something worth checking out, Corrido's new Reposado and Anejo have a unique aging process using multiple "single barrels". The Blanco, Repo and Anejo are from NOM 1526, while the Extra Anejo is still from NOM 1439.

Too bad the shipping is so high, they want $26 for 2 bottles and that's the cheaper option.

That is too bad. Lots of deals are killed by ridiculous shipping costs.

Part of the shipping cost is due to the cheapest option being FedEx 3 day instead of ground. The more you buy though the cheaper it gets, 6 bottles is $40 to ship to WA state from AZ.

I already made one order and liked the new Anejo so much that I had to order more of it as it is so tasty it isn't gonna last long. Picked up another bottle of the Reposado, though I haven't opened the one I have already.

I noticed on HiTimesWine the other day that the price of the XA gift set online is now $79.99 after paying $105 for it a couple of moths ago. AZ Wine wants $89.99 for the same set.

I picked up an extra anejo and an anejo. The shipping was significantly cheaper to Hawaii than the last place that advertised a special on here (can't recall now which store that was). Haven't opened the Anejo yet and I have not decided yet what I think of the extra anejo. The XA has something going on that I haven't figured out if I like it yet. Guess it just needs further testing Interesting that the NOMs are different on the XA vs A.

I have never tried it so I wasn't going to order 6 bottles. I also noticed the anejo is 5 bucks cheaper at HitimeWine and when I order 6 bottles from them it costs about $36 using FedEX ground. Now that you guys say it's pretty good, I'll add a bottle to an order, at least with HiTime, I can get some variety, that's the only place I can get my Orgullo and Don Pilar.

I'm glad you can get HiTimes to ship to you via ground. Last time I did that the UPS guy destroyed a whole flight of El Grado for me. They promptly re-shipped but now when I order they insist on my upgrading to 2nd day which means I don't order much from them anymore as the $50-60 charge for a half dozen bottles jacks the cost up enough to not make it worthwhile to me. I prefer to wait for some Seth's deals where I can get 6 bottles of Espolon AND free shipping or I fall back on ebay.

I was a bit turned off by the shipping cost, but if Hi Times has it I might be tempted. They are having a tasting this weekend that I plan to attend. Looks like some Father's Day tequila will be on the menu for me.

Default shipping costs

TQ.netters, thanks for all the interest in the new Corrido Double Barrel Repo and Triple Barrel Anejo.
Our AZ retailer tells me they are working to get shipping costs down with Fed Ex by going with smaller bottle shippers, and a higher volume rate negotiation.

FedEx charges more if you opt in to their signature 21 program, and they also collect liquor tax as well for the state (not clear how that is calculated). Also looking to see if FedEx will do normal ground on spirits.

Default Ground shipping should be available now!

Per Brad of Corrido Tequila, Ground shipping is now available when you order through Jalisco clearing house.
