Sounds like a great event but do not know why they chose the slogan "Too Much Tequila...Not Enough Lime!" They are doing the rediels and have some great tequilas but when you read the slogan it seems to discredit the event. People seem to love throwing the "limes" in these events without thinking about what it portrays.

You going Robert?

I have to agree I wasn't too impressed with their slogan, but the opportunity to taste some of those tequilas swayed me over - so yes, I am planning on being there - and yes I will be passing on the limes just focusing on the tequila.

Should have worded it "So Much Tequila, So Few Limes"

Probably would sound alittle better

Default No Lime here please

It has been a long time since I logged in, but the tequila has not stopped flowing in that time. I will be there as well, I signed up at the store and they said they were expecting a sell out crowd. They do have a great line up planned and I here the food there is not half bad either. I would not be suprised if there is not one lime served except maybe with the food. See you there.

Default Great Tasting

I have to say this was the best tasting I have ever been to. Everyone got a Riedel glass to taste with and then to take home. The event was well organized and had a listing of the distillers / tequilas and their locations.

Brands represented included:
Partida
Asombroso
Frida Kahalo
1921
Chinaco
Comisario
Clase Azul
Corazon
Herencia Mexicana
Dos Manos
Don Abraham
Tonala
Oro Azul
Fortaleza
Rebano Sagrado
Tequila Esperanto
Penca Azul
Hacienda Vieja
Dos Lunas
Tequila Ocho
Casa Noble
Corzo
Corralejo
Gran Centenario
Hancienda Sotol
Don Julio
Cuervo Reserva de la Familia
Herradura
El Jimador
Maestro Dobel
and a few others.

At a top end they were tasting Herradura Selection Suprema, Dos Lunas Gran Reserva (missed that one and they ran out), Gran Centenario Leyanda and probably a few more.

Lunch was included and was delicious and a nice break from tasting. They also had another room with Partida margaritas and St Germain and Leblon mixed drinks.

All of the items being tasted were also on sale downstairs at the store. I picked up several bottles of Casa Noble single barrel Anejo and a few other fun bottles.

It was great to meet Pina and sample some of his Comisario and to talk to Aaron (MrXtraAnejo - we have to stop meeting only at tastings).

All in all a really fun time.

Wow RJ....that's what I call an All-Star lineup! Man, I wish we had events of that caliber here in Florida. Sounds like you had a blast!

It was a very nice time and I am looking forward to next year. I am glad I had planned for a designated driver for our group.

The one "missing" tequila I was a bit surprised at not being there was El Tesoro, unless they don't do tastings.
