Default Don Valente in Central Texas

As many members know, I have worked hard to bring (S&P Premium Brands) Don Valente tequila into Waco Texas (and surrounding areas).

It has been a long process but tomorrow we are hosting our first dinner and tasting in Waco. I along with Robert will be hosting this event at a country club. Although this is a private event, many tequila drinkers will be present that represent what we consider a big chance to get our product on the shelves in Central Texas.

I for one have not hosted an event that was geared at anyone except people I knew. So this opportunity is amazing. I am very excited to be apart of this, wish me luck. I am taking tasting notes, I have been studying my DV history and I think I am ready to step up my tequila adventure.

Soon we may be hosting more dinners and events locally but for now you can attend these events in the Dallas metroplex.

I just wanted to share this because of my excitement. The menu will be as follows....

Lobster Appetizer with a Myers Lemon-Mint Margarita (Don Valente Blanco)
Duck and Fresh Cut Vegetables with an Agave Nectar Margarita (Don Valente Reposado)
Homeade Coconut Ice Cream with a Grilled Peach Topping with Don Valente Anejo neat

I love duck if it is prepared well and I hear the Ridgewood CC does a good job. I will post pictures and a response to this topic sometime this weekend.

Salud!

Good luck with it amigo!

My sister in Denton searched the liquor-stores in nearby Lake Dallas and couldn't find an DV on the shelves, so she ordered some from one of the stores. Should be in any day now. She will be shipping a bottle of the blanco to me.

Yay!

The results were AWESOME! The dinner and tasting were a success. It was one of the funnest nights ever. I've never seen my 80 year old grandma dance to a mariachi band....those pics and videos will follow soon. We received a perfect sized crowd, the food was absolutely delicious and I can't wait until the next!

I am very passionate about Don Valente tequila. I wish I said more during the tasting but luckily Robert was there. Torwards the end of the night I opened up and started talking to everyone...it took a few margaritas and a snifter of each but I made it. I learned its much easier to publicize my passion on tequila.net with the members but I still broke down and started sharing.

Robert from S&P Premium Brands did a remarkable job. Kris and the other club managers from Ridgewood had a band playing and Chef was AMAZING. The night really couldn't have ended more perfect. We had a raffle drawing for the licorera blanco, the winner was happy. I had a chance to meet and talk to tequila fans from all over central Texas. The Chef at the country club is a tequila fan and his dishes were inspired by a vacation in Mexico recently. Who would've known that tequila can be paired with duck and lobster? He did a wonderful job.

This should start boosting sales in my area soon. The feedback we received from pro and con tequila drinkers was awesome. Upon entering the tasting I was already listening to people talk about Cuervo like we had NOTHING on the brand. The faces after our Lemon-Mint margaritas and tasting of the blanco said it all!

I will post more later, tonight has gotten...very late.

Fantastic bro! In marketing slang, you have "consumed the Kool-Aid"! Many others will follow, myself included!

Don Valente-laced Kool-Aid, that is!
