El Carmen Tasting - February 21, 2009

I just got a notice of this upcoming tasting. The first tasting I went to was at El Carmen and they do a great job and the price is excellent. If you are in the area and available I would definitely recommend it (unfortunately I will be in San Diego that night or I would attend). It is also a great place to meet up with other Tequila.net folks (I think TV Jefe may have his own reserved seat at the bar).

There will be over 15 different labels to try. We will have passed appetizers, good music and lots of fun!

Space is limited so make a reservation! We will begin accepting reservations on Monday February 16th. Credit cards are welcome for pre-sale, and it is cash only at the door. We will have valet services available.

This is a great opportunity to try new Tequilas and learn about the different labels. Don't miss out!

Sadly, cant go this time around. I got the recession blues...Bad...

25 bux gets u into the bar area, where there are tequila brands all lined up ready for u to taste their product.

Heres a quick list of who was there at the last tasting:

4 Copas
Corzo
Cazadores
Milagro
Corralejo
Gran Centenario
Casa Noble
Three MEscals I dont remember
One other tequila brand I cant remmeber!!!!

And appetizers are included too.

My parents are in town and it's not really their scene. But I do recommend these El Carmen tastings for anyone in the LA area. It's a fun time.

1800 was there last time I believe. The Mescal brand that is usually at the El Carmen tastings is METL.

METL 2012 is now a tequila brand as well, produced at Cia. Tequilera la Quemada, same as 4 Copas. Inexpensive too, in the $30's. I tried the Tequilas and Mezcals (again) a couple of weeks ago when Todd was in town, good stuff.
