Default Prague / Munich

Just got back from Europe and found a couple of new places to find Tequila.

The first place "Cantina" www.restauracecantina.cz was in Prague and was an absolute jewel. If you are familiar with Prague ( 3libras) it is located across from the "funicular" that takes you up to the Eiffel Tower.
The food was very good and they had about 60+ Tequilas, Mezcals and Soto's on the menu.

I started off with a Tequila I had never heard of, but the bottle looked just like Patrida...the name was Maracame. A shot was about $9.50 US for the Anejo. I then had a shot of Hacienda De Chihuahua Anejo, which was about $7.50 a shot.

This place was absolutely wonderful, the staff was very nice, the food was excellent and the tequila was great. If you get the chance to make it there, make sure and make reservations, the place is always packed.

I also ate a place called "Sausalitos" in Munich Germany. This place was no where as good as the Cantina and they had the basic's in the bar...Sauza, DJ, JC....I ended up having a few shots of Corralejo Anejo at about $10 a shot.
The menu is very diversified and the atmosphere is more night club. I probably would not go back, but, if you need a fix for a tequila, I guess it will do. I was also told there was a better Mexican restaurant called "El Gordo" in the area, but there was no way the family was going to go for another Mexican dinner.

I took a picture of what type of Tequila you can buy in the local store while in Prague. The exchange rate is 1 US for 19 KR, so the bottles in the picture are between $26 and $32.

I'm confused, isn't Prague in the Czech Republic and the Eiffel Tower is in Paris. I would think there is quite some distance between the two? Either way it sounds like you found some gems.

There is a smaller version of the Eiffel Tower in Prague.

I didn't know that. Now it makes sense. Maybe someday I'll get to Europe and see some of these things.

AHHH, are you kidding!?!?! We were there for 2 nights and we didn't find that place in Prague. Damn, we never made it over to the tower though we obviously saw it. That sucks, if we only had known. About the closest we got was going up to the castle and cathedral. Damn it!! What did you think of it there? We liked it overall. We also just finished the bottle of Maracame blanco that we had. It was ok. Did you like the anejo?
