Default Cancun

I am going to Cancun in a couple of weeks and I am looking for a place buy tequila to bring back home. I have been to Cancun before, so I am familiar with the area. Last time I was there I bought some Don Julio Anejo at Sam's Club for much cheaper than what I saw at a liquor store by the hotels and somewhat cheaper than duty free. I have also been to La Distilleria - I thought it was kind of pricey. I am looking for a place with good selection and prices and maybe even some recommendations for a good bottle of blaco or resposado. Any suggestions...?

Try checking the top rated repos and top rated blancos for good ideas from the members here. Im not familiar with cancun too much and some people on here may be able to help more but ask a taxi driver to take you to a store with a good selection of tequila. In the more touristy parts of Mexico you can find some rare bottles you may not be able to get anywhere else. Although I am not too sure on the pricing. Good luck!

Tell a cabbie to take you to La Europea (la ooro-pey-ya), say it like that and they'll know what you are talking about. Any of the big grocery or discount stores have excellent prices, just not a great selection. I agree on La Distileria, too pricey. Good luck, let us know what great finds you come across.

Thanks! I'm not going for a month, but I'll let you know how I make out.
