Maestro Dobel Cocktails

The Maestro Mixer

5 white grapes
8-10 mint leaves
2 oz Maestro Dobel Tequila
¾ oz Aperol
½ oz lemon juice
¾ oz simple syrup
1 oz ginger ale

In a pint glass, add mint and grapes and muddle. Add all spirits and mixers. Shake vigorously for six seconds. Add ginger ale to pint glass, then strain over fresh ice in Collins glass. Garnish with a mint sprig dusted with powdered sugar and a white grape.


Dobel Spicy Chill

4 basil leaves
1 Serrano chili slice 1/4" thick
2 oz Maestro Dobel Tequila
¾ oz lime juice
¾ oz simple syrup

In a pint glass, crack the chili with a muddler. Add basil, then muddle or bruise. Add all spirits and mixers. Shake and strain in a cocktail glass. Garnish with a Serrano chili slice and a basil sprig.


Crafty Maestro

1 red bell pepper ring 1/2" thick
8-10 mint leaves
2 oz Maestro Dobel Tequila
¾ oz lime juice
¾ oz simple syrup

In a pint glass, muddle bell pepper ring and mint. Add all spirits and mixers. Shake vigorously for six seconds. Strain in cocktail glass. To garnish, drop a bell pepper ring in cocktail glass and a mint sprig.


Maestro’s Moment of Clarity

2 oz Maestro Dobel Tequila
¾ oz simple syrup
2 oz dashed Regan’s orange bitters

In a pint glass, add all spirits and mixers. With a bar spoon stir for 20-30 sec. Strain into a cocktail glass. For garnish: with a potato peeler, peel a large piece of orange peel and drop in cocktail.

These cocktails would get a bit pricey, with the bottle costing $90.

I purchased a bottle, but the wife grabbed it before I could open it and now it is a Christmas gift :P

Or just choose a good brand and use the recipe. The spicy chill sounded good.

Good tequila getting masked by all the Ingredients in a cocktail ....I can understand using a good blanco or maybe even a repo, but seriously why would you want to use higher end tequila's for a cocktail........just my 2 cents

Hmm...

Maybe some people prefer bringing there favorite tequila flavors out in a cocktail.

I use Don Augustin or Don Eduardo for most of my cocktails...but Don Valente is tremendous as well but pricey. If the cocktail is made right, it can attribute my tequilas, you just have to use the right portions and ingrediants.

But if I dont like a tequila much, I dont like it in my cocktails either.
