No, not 75 cents to a dollar, the liter bottle of soda makes 4-5 drinks, so that comes out to about 25 cents each plus tequila. I'm sure in Texas you probably get limes cheaper. I usually pay a dollar for 2-3 limes but you only need a quarter of one for each drink. I do buy bottled all natural lime juice with no sugar added it called Nellie & Joe's Key West Lime Juice, but you could use fresh. So even with the higher prices I have to pay, it's still under 40 cents and much tastier than any mix.

Now I'm itching for one, but it's such a rainy day here, I'll wait until the sun comes out.

We are funny.....trying to break the cost of our cheap margaritas down. I get limes by the 24-count....they are 2 dozen for 2.49. That comes out to about 10 cents a lime. As for the flavored soda water....I can find that probably for about a dollar or 2 also. My problem is I dont drink carbonated beverages.

When I was growing up I had a problem swallowing fizzy drinks, like cola, root beer, big red, sprite....etc. I wouldnt even be able to swallow a sip without it burning my throat and I NEVER drank them....which isnt really a bad thing. Now I'm older and have accepted fizzy drinks with alcohol in them; they arent my favorite at all but I can tollerate a couple beers or mixed drinks with a "little" fizz.

In PV, that drink is called a Paloma. Tastes great with Squirt or Fresca also

Never tried with squirt, I bet that's pretty tasty too. I'll certainly be giving that a try.
