Tequiza - Beer

I came across this at my local Super Target, just wondering if anyone has tried it

Wow, are they still making that stuff? I have never tried it and when it came out a few years ago I thought the name would ruin it. It sounds like 'queezy'.

You're right it doesn't even sound good, but it looks kind of cool.

Has it really been around for 2 years? I like to drink beer but I've never seen it, the past couple of years I've been getting just about everything in Mexico so I probably just missed it.

Tequiza has been around for at nearly a decade. I bartended back in college and when we got this in back in the late 90's, it was quite the rage for a spell. I personally think it a "bacon-y" taste and don't care for it.

Agave beer....hmmm, I've had Blue Agave Wine, it was delicious.

I wonder if my smaller "non super" target by my house carries it. What did the sticker price say?

I think it was $6.99 for the 6 pack

I didn't buy it, I tried that other beer with the taste of lime - Chill - and I really didn't care for it.

Yeah, miller chill taste bad...I think Michelobe (sp?) makes a lime and cactus flavered beer that sucks as well. Although neither use agave

I actually think Tequiza is an Anheuser-Bush product.

It is, I just got off the phone with a rep from the main office in St. Louis. I was trying to track Tequiza down in Waco, Texas. Apparently we have it though, I found the wholesaler, I'm waiting on a call back from them to find a store in my area.

Yeah, I a few Tequizas about 10 yrs ago, back in my younger years( Im 29). Its heavy, causes hangovers and does taste a little like bacon come to think of it. I have seen it out on the shelves though. Its not worth it. I you want a tequila and beer experience, drink the beer and then sip a fine tequila. Its much better.
