We've had some nice spicy margaritas... pineapple-jalapeno/ cucumber-chile/ watermelon-serrano/ grapefruit.. and want to make some at home- particularily the pineapple versions.
Anyone make their own infused tequilas? Some of the recipies recommend grilling the pineapple and or chilies, some just muddle fresh fruit.
Either method preferred by the folks at TNet for your own concoctions or 'ritas you've had-and why ?
I've got to grill some pineapple and jalapenos later today for salsa so if I don't hear an overwhelming preference I'll just try several versions.
Any personal infusion mishaps? I don't mind the trial and error, lots and lots of trial and error 'ritas, but hate to waste the tequila!
Thanks for suggestions. Here's some info so far.
