Try checking the NOM/Distillery database to learn about different brands and what house they come from.

http://www.tequila.net/external/list...la_brands.html

You can even upload the list on a cell phone or pocket pc.

http://distilleries.tequila.net/ - This map shows you a few exact locations.

Hope this helps and some other members in here will have ideas of where to go, I've never been to the distilleries in mexico but it sure sounds fun. Have a great trip!

Remember that 100% agave tequila is bottled only in Mexico. So if you are trying to bottle here in America, youll be bottling mixtos.

Good luck. Keep us posted here

Of course I will be bottling 100% Agaves, and have a few distilleries on my list to visit. I was just trying to get suggestions on a couple that may have high recommendations.

Thanks

It depends what type of tequila you are trying to create: are you looking for modernization / high output or traditional / limited batch? Something new or something existing bottled under a different label? Something from the highlands or lowlands?

These are just of the few questions you should consider, hopefully you have an idea of what you like and want to produce. I can make some recommendations but need more specific info...
