If you are looking for Gran Patron Burdeos, then try www.shoppersvineyard.com. They are selling it for $489.99. They are located in New Jersey and they are reliable shippers.

I just wish I had 500.00 to put down on a bottle

How is Gran Patron Burdeos? I know its got great reviews but I never hear a word about it and up until I saw ultra premium bottles that were 2k + bucks, I always thought the Gran Patron was top of the line. Obviously just like everything else in this world, there will always be something better. Anyways, aside from the one review on this site...what do yall think of it? Is something else out there much cheaper and just as good?

Honestly, those $2000-$5000 bottles of tequila are collectors items and more about the artistry of the bottle and less about what's inside. There are AMAZING tequilas out there for $200-300.

Chinaco Negro ($220)
Rey Sol ($250)
Herradura Suprema ($300)

These are expensive because of the aging process involved. My favorite blancos are:

4 Copas ($50)
Don Fulano Suave ($49)
Don Valente ($42)
AsomBroso ($40)

I guess my point is - don't always equate price to quality of the product.

Hmm...thanks.

The best bottle I have ever tryed was Milagro SBR Anejo which was about 105.00

I guess if I step it up I will try one of those...although thats half my rent payment for a 250.00 bottle!

I agree with TV Jefe. There are so many tequilas out there that unless you just want to say you have tried a very expensive one (I am not even counting the super expensive ones where you are mainly paying for the fancy bottle), you can find so many others just a fun and tasty.

A good case in point - I got a bottle of the Gran Patron Platinum for Christmas and hadn't opened it until this last weekend. A few weeks ago I was in San Diego talking to Steve at Old Town Liquors. He told me that Don Abraham blanco beat the Gran Patron in taste tests. I am a natural skeptic, but bought the Don Abraham. This last weekend my son and I sampled both and both agreed the Don Abraham was better - and at $40 it is considerably less expensive.
