I have a rare bottle of tequilla that I am interested in selling. Does anyone know the best and easiest way to sell expensive bottles? It sounds like it is difficult to ship the bottles.

I live in connecticut but I go into NYC quite a bit.

Jose Cuervo 1800 Limited Collection 1998

In 1998 the company introduced 1800 Coleccion Añejo in a bottle made of Belgian crystal, housed in a hand-sculptured pewter decanter encased in suede and leather. This limited edition of 347 specimens was priced at $1,000 a bottle.

Julio Bermejo, tequila expert and owner of Tommy’s Mexican Restaurant, a San Francisco institution for the last four decades, recalls vividly the 1998 debut of Jose Cuervo’s 1800 Colección. “It blew people’s minds,” he says of the limited-edition añejo, or barrel-aged spirit, made of 100 percent blue weber agave. “It was one barrel to satisfy the entire world; it had shock value.”

Adding to the tequila’s shock value was its $1,000 sticker price, a sum that has increased over the years with the añejo’s four subsequent releases in the United States. The latest 1800 Colección, which became available in the spring, consists of 200 bottles priced at $1,800 each.

Also, note that below you reference two different versions (releases) of Coleccion. You note a release qty of 347 ( which is the original release ) and 200 ( I'd assume a later release ). Which is yours?

No, I think it may be a different year. The case is the same as the one on the left...but the bottle is different.

The pewter design is different. There is a leaf with beatles on the bottle. It is marked 052/600.

The bottle has a green wax mark like the bottle on the right

The bottle you mention can either be a 1998 original issue or a newer reissue (copy of original issue).

The paperwork that comes with the bottles is dated 25/11/98. I think it is from the 600 limited edition because I remember seeing 600 on the pewter container.
