Is this to drink; or just to have a collectible bottle to have that you -may- drink some day?

If it is to drink.. purchase an older bottles of regular SBA and save yourself 800 bucks
If to collect.. then yeah, its worth it if its a must have bottle

There is a huge difference between the Single Barrel Anejo Porfidio and the Barrique in taste.

If you can find a bottle already opened at a bar and are willing to pay $100+ for a shot, then I highly recommend it. The Barrique is my all time favorite even to this day. I have emptied 1 bottle and have a 1/4 of another bottle left. plus one full bottle. I consider the Barrique a drinking collectible for those special occasions

This bottle at this time in my life is to rich for my blood!! but that doesn't mean that I can't have one someday! I will make this my ultimate goal! the tequila to own! So tell me, since I can't afford this tequila right now! What does it taste like? Because for $800 a bottle it better taste a hell of alot better than the Porfidio anejo!! I paid $120 for that bottle,It was one of the biggest dissapointments to me!! I only have that bottle because it is a collectors item! not because it is any good!! I paid $100 for much better tasting tequila than Porfidio! Like I paid $100 for a D' ANTANO now that is a tequila worth that and more IMHO!!:

My experience has been that sadly as the dollar amount increases there is not corresponding increase in quality. Sometimes the increase is to cover the cost of the bottle, which is OK, but for me I am not as interested in collecting bottles as I am in enjoying the juice inside.

Case in point in my experience was Clase Azul Extra Anejo. The juice was really nice, but the bottle with pure silver and platinum on it boosting the price to $1,500 is beyond what I would ever spend on tequila - others may have different opinions.
