Since, according to ebay rules, the value is the container and not what's inside, you have no recourse if you get a refilled bottle.

Miles-I am aware of ebay's policies. My point was that I would not be concerned whether an item was genuine or not *if* I am NOT willing to pay that price; in my feeble mind it's a moot point. If the price is right- read: what *I* am willing to pay, then we're talking... BTW- I have bought three identical bottles to that shown on that ebay auction... the biggest difference is that I paid only $30 from a local store; AND I am fairly certain that the three bottles I bought are genuine

How long ago did you buy the JC bottle in question and where? I have two friends that have liquor stores that sell a large selection of tequila.....neither store says they have ever purchased a bottle with the shrink wrap and the literature in there files do not show the shrink wrap. I am not questioning rather the bottles came with the shrink wrap, just wondering if it is a regional thing or not.

i bought them about 6-months ago... it was in Huntington Park... i still have one sealed... since you live close by- you're more than welcomed to come over and i'll crack it open. let me know.

I thought I would post this here for future reference for all interested. There are 4 Casa Noble reposado ceramic Talavera empty bottles on Ebay at this time. Just in case they may appear full and sealed at a latter date I wanted to post the bottle numbers here. The numbers on these bottles are 7792, 8419, 9250 & 9505.
