Need help, De La Familia 97

Hello all, I never even knew this site existed. Pretty good stuff to know on here. I was given a 1997 Reserva De La Familia . It has a number on it #0793, with a date that reads= 24/1/98. I was impressed with the box and the wax topping and a card that explains about the artist. So I started to look into it. The only thing I can find is that there was no 1998 made. Can anyone here tell me what I have? Should I save it, or open it and have a taste? Thanks, Dave.

Are there two different types of bottles for this edition? I keep seeing descriptions from mexico with a higher alcohol content then the US versions. Or are all the same.
