Default Porfidio Blue Ceramic NOM 1141

Hey Guys...

I'm new to this forum and have heard all the stories about the Porfidio tequila scandal and so forth. I have a bottle of the Reposado in the blue ceramic and wanted to know how much this bottle is worth. I picked this bottle up in Cabo San Lucas Back in 2003. It has been sitting in a dark cool area since I brought it back. Me being hispanic and all, was saving this for the announcement of my 1st born, which hasn't happened yet. I love tequila but just wondering if this bottle is worth all the hype. I have shared a bottle of the one in a brown gourd shape with my brother and it was awesome, just wondering if the Reposado will be worth the wait or would some ne be interested in taking this bottle off my hands. I here are some pics:

Thanks in Advance,
Jose

The Porfidio Repo is quite good......I sold a bottle about a year ago for $300. Not sure what the market will pay now.

$80.00......... That was a very nice nugget you found. The bottles were between $100 and $150 towards the end of Porfidio's production.

I would say just the opposite......I have originals and none of them have a plastic wrap around them Not to mention none of bottles have a cork sticking out the top like the one in the picture.........here is one of my bottles that is approx. 10 years old

Default Bottles

All I know is I bought mine at the factory in PV before it closed and both the
catus Plata pictured in earlier post and the blue ceramic reposado bottle both have some of the cork showing and have a plastic wrap around the bottle. I know where I bought mine and after a lot of checking about any
Porfidio with the nom 1141 there are many refills and many fakes I guess
what I'm saying I wouldn't buy any of them on ebay or any online source.

I agree that the cactus bottles came with a plastic wrap (see your pic.), but the topic is the ceramic reposado, which for some of us who collect Porfidio have not had a bottle with a plastic wrap.
What year did you buy yours from the PV factory? This would be interesting, because who knows what Porfidio was doing in the last few months of being in business, they could have changed the way they sealed the bottles Have you ever tasted the tequila?
