March Agave Fights - Blancos

March Agave Fights begin on March 26th, 2009. We will be sampling 6 blancos head-to-head at Mezcal Restaurant in Denver, Colorado, starting at 7:00pm.

Contenders (brands):
1921 Tequila
Casa Noble Tequila
El Jimador Tequila
El Tesoro de Don Felipe Tequila
Hacienda de Chihuahua Sotol
Herradura Tequila

Mezcal and Tambien will offer the same flight the entire month for those that miss out. Not in Denver? Ask your local Tequila bar to create this custom flight for you, and then you can vote for your top two brands.

Polls will be posted here in this forum on the 26th to begin the voting and conversations.

Wish I could make it out to Colorado Mr. A! At least I have 5 out of the 6 blancos at home. Can't find the Hacienda de Chihuahua Sotol here in Florida. I have heard nothing but positive feedback from fellow forum members in regards to this particular sotol. I will post my two top favorites when the poll opens. It's shaping up to be a great battle!

I will be at Mezcal next Thursday, so I wasn't planning on using the chatroom, but you guys can if you want.

I have the next 4 months scheduled already, blancos starting next week, reposado's in April, and Anejo's in May. The top 2 from each of those 3 months will make the 6 in June. After that I was going to look for 6 more brands, and I have 3 or 4 already interested. To make it easier for everyone to participate I am trying to stick with the higher distributed brands.
