World's Best Agave Nectar

There has been a lot of debate out there about agave nectars. For me, as in anything, it comes down to personal preferences. Some like vanilla, some like chocolate. As far as agave nectars go, I happen to like the clear, raw nectar. 4 Copas used to have a joint venture with another company that made the clear, raw blue agave nectar. The company thats manufactures it now is Ultimate Super Foods.

The nectar is 80 brix, and is 100% clear. There is one out there that got stopped at the border by the FDA, for containing a high concentration of corn syrup. There are others that dirrerent additives. Several distilleries have discovered that agave nectar helps make the best margaritas. In turn, this increases their sales. At the moment, these are all white label nectars. Many off premise accounts are accepting these nectars as a free bonus for buying their tequilas. None of these are clear, and do have a cooked honey like overtone. In any event, here is where to get the clear nectar,

Sounds great....they even carry it in sizes up to 55 gallons...that is a lot of Raw Agave Nectar!!!!

I've never seen Powdered Agave Nectar either...but anything is possible nowadays it seems...

This leaves me pondering the question..."How many margaritas could you make with a 55 gallon Jug of Agave Nectar?"....my guess would be around 5,000...then I would like to know, who on earth would ever need 55 gallons of agave nectar? Not even the most fully stocked open bar parties will make 5,000 margaritas....

Not a problem if you can get your favorite tequila in a55 gallon drum, also. The spirts would be less likely to spoil for a number reasons.
