Tequila of the Month Club

Still working on getting this going. I'm thinking of doing several different clubs, one as an entry level club where you would receive what I would believe to be the staple type tequilas, el tesoro, don julio, gran centenario, etc. And then have a couple of others that would be price based (not to exceed a certain amount) more unique types of tequila that can't be found in most liquor stores. I'll keep everyone informed, and if you have any ideas, shout em out!

I think that's a great idea, especially the one for more unique types. I know that you lucky people living in Ca. and the SW can get brands that will never make it to me in NY. This sounds like a great way to expand my tastes. Thanks, MrAgave!!!

This is sheer genius!!!! You are the man Mr. Agave this would definitely give people a better understanding, and a more profound respect of tequila, it'll open new doors to people who've never tasted ultra premiums or even more rare specialty tequilas that are hard to find in the stores, Will there be stiff guidelines, or requirements to meet in order to get into the club?.....

Much of it will depend on quantities available and how many people want to join. I would hope to have 2 to 3 months listed at a time so everyone could see the upcoming available bottles, but will need to come up with exact details once I get closer to a starting date. 3, 6, 12 month memberships, and then the tiers for entry level and advanced.

I think it is a good idea but I would most likely not join. I really do not like ordering tequila because I get a lot more joy out of finding the tequila in a store after tracking it down. I believe that part of the joy of collecting is the stories behind finding the bottles as well which you do not get from ordering. This is just my opinion and feeling. I think for those who do enjoy bying online the club will be great for them.

Ahhh, the thrill of adventure in the hunt,,, i hear you joe, did i ever tell you the one where i went into this "bargain" liquor depot and well to make a long story short came out with two Don Julio Reals' for 100.00 each!!! Man that was crazy,and it's funny i find myself going back every monday afternoon to see what else i can sucker them out of,but, unfortunately i think that was just just luck,but you know what they say, pay back is a ____! I'm sure you heard the story of my brother having a party while he was house sitting, and finishing up one of those bottles,....karma.... that's all i have to say about that.

Those are the stories I am talking about. It is something you just do not get buying online. It does make me believe even more that your brother in law owes you a Clase Azul Ultra because he stole your bottles and your stories. Now instead of a great bargain story you have a story of dispare and loss.

well i just hope to have more stories like that when i go to mexico in a cuople of weeks, i'm going to visit family in mexico city, and hopefully do some tequila hunting while i'm down there, maybe i can find a bottle of clase azul cheap, yeah right.....
