Looks like a great menu of samples. Im pretty surprised to see the Chinaco sampler at only 20 bucks. Then again the Herradura Sampler that is 43.00 includes the supreme.

I wish I could make it but I'm 5000 miles away, have fun!

Another bar within walking distance to my house. I was actually there last weekend for my wife's birthday. They have an average selection of tequila (for a place that boasts a tequila bar) and the food is good.

Their normal bar staff, however, is not very knowledgeable about tequila. This is definitely a restaurant with a tequila menu - not a tequila bar.

Wow, I see they are calling their graduates "Tequila Aficionados." I wonder how that is going to go over with the Tequila Aficionado groups.

Honestly, I dont take too much stock from The Spanish Kitchen. I know their tequila selection isnt the best.

But Ill 'talk shop' with anyone if its free and fun!

Dont worry Tequila Joe, I wont be calling myself a Tequila Aficionado after their classes!

I had lunch at the spanish kitchen and it was good. I checked out the tequila selection and it was above the norm.

It is very hard to sit through some of these tequila classes, which basically teaches the newbie that tequila is not made from a cactus and there is "NO" worm in tequila. However, if you are ever at the Four Seasons Hotel in Punta Mita, they have a wonderful lecture and tasting on tequila every other night, which makes for a great happy our and it is FREE

Yup, some of these classes just cover the basics, and it's hard to keep the attention of a different rowdy crowd evertime you do a tasting, once they get a couple of drinks, they just seem to get rowdy and drown you out. That's why when I usually hold a tasting it is limited seating, and normally the same crowd, this way I can just pick up where I left off from the previous tasting. I much prefer the private tastings with "Los Catadores". We cover sooo much, and really enjoy the spirit.
