Default Agave Azul was on and poppin last night!

So last night we had a Tequila Dinner @ Agave Azul with special guest Jose "Pepe" Hermosillo of Casa Noble, and Rosco as co-host, he also brought with him the next generation of Casa Noble his son. It was a jam packed event, with an Excellent menu provided by Zotico Reyes proprietor of Agave Azul and his chef, that was out of this world (pics will be posted this weekend). We even had friends of ours like Roy Ross, Jacob Fahkeri, Feraud , my wife Angelica, and Cor of DFW Tequila Tastings. Buena Vida was not able to attend do to a small mishap in the reservations, and I do apologize for that Buena, but not to worry, I was able to get a goodie bag for ya (350 ml of Repo). The event was an overwhelming success and plan to do more in the future. The cocktails that where paired with each course where awesome, a kiwi tequini w/ Casa Noble Crystal, and traditional Margarita with Repo, and with dessert a Reidel Glass with Anejo, paired with tequila mousse crepes. delicious. I will be organizing more in the future @ this place due to the huge response that we had, If any of you guys are ever in the area and want to meet up for drinks please let me know in advance, and I can set up a small tequila dinners with the restaurant.

Salud....

Im so happy to hear you had a successful night. If it hadnt of been short notice to me I would of been there but a 45.00 dinner and gas to Dallas would have made it almost impossible. Lucky for me, I'm doing a tasting with myself tonight haha...I may end up choosing Casa Noble over the 1942 so I can have a price break.

I would really like to attend one soon, we'll work something out in the near future.

Salud!

By the way, how was that kiwitini made? Sounds like something I can get my woman to like

Mr A,
Sorry I have not been able to call you, but you can count on hearing from me this evening. And as far as the $45.00 tab for the dinner (bn087), Pepe and J.D (his rep.) picked up the tab for all my guest who where sitting @ our table(15 ppl) and if that wasn't enough, everybody was given a 350ml bottle of repo in a gift bag @ the end of the night....... That's cool!

Roscoe, are there more than just the one Agave Azul resturant? There was an Agave Azul resturant near my home, but unfortunately, it did not last more than a year. Just wondering if the name of the resturants are a coincidence or not

Well I don't think they are the same, because Zotico is a hometown boy, I've known him for 10yrs , he was born and raised here, and his uncle owns the most popular tex mex chains in the area, actually alot of people in that family own restaurants, I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of theirs....

Thanks for the gift bag dude, your the best. Still a little ticked about getting the boot but that's just the way it goes sometimes I guess. We need to hook up and tip a glass or two soon. Keep me posted.

LBV, you got the boot? Or just didn't get in on the reservation?

Well actually he called way in advance to reserve his seats, but a few days before the dinner they called him to tell him that they had overbooked and that they were going to put him on a waiting list....kinda shady. When he told me I tried to to get him in but they had limited the dinner to only 40 people, and had a waitng list of 30 more.... I wished they wouldv've opened the entire restaurant to the tasting, and not just the bar area. I felt really bad about it I know he was looking forward to the dinner. I'll make it up to you Buena....
