agave wine!!!!!!

tHIS PAST WEEKEND I ATTENDED A WINE TASTING, AND THEY HAD THIS STUFF, IT WAS BLUE, AND WAS CALLED AZUL... IT WAS AGAVE WINE !!!! IT WAS AWESOME, I ORDERED A CASE OF THE STUFF, IT IS MADE SOMEWHERE IN NAPA VALLEY, BY SOME HIPPIE GUY, BUT SERIOUSLY, IT WAS GOOD, THE GUY THAT WAS TEACHING THE WINE TASTING CLASS, WAS JUST RAVING ABOUT THE STUFF,AND WHEN WE FINALLY GOT A TASTE, IT BLEW MY MIND,... AWESOME TASTE.

Sounds interesting. Who makes it? I'm assuming you ordered some via your wine tasting class or did your order from somewhere else?

Both say they're made in Mexico, so I'm not sure if these are what you tasted. I also noticed they both say 20% alcohol, that's some wine with a kick, more like a liqueor. I would love to try some.

well unfortunately these are not the ones i tasted..... the brand is "Azul" and seriously the guy literally makes this stuff on his garage or something and it's blue.... definitely something out of the ordinary... i'm picking my case up tomorrow right after work, and i will get more info from the "wine guys" the place i got it from has a site, but nothing on the site about the "azul" the site is premierwines.com the store is premier wines of plano, in plano,texas, i'll load up some pics and more info tomorrow.

I'm very close to the store in Plano, so I picked up some of this. It has a very good taste. More like a wine cooler than wine. All natural sweeteners with a margarita flavor. Here is a link to the place that bottles it. I'm going to try and post a picture, hope it works.

has anyone had luck finding agave wine? i had margaritas made from it in NM earlier this month and they were delicious. i don't know that i'll have much luck finding it around baltimore though...i went to my standard liquor store which has by far the best selection of tequila around and they don't carry any as far as i've been able to tell so far.
