Default Travel to Mexico - Map of Distilleries, Liquor Stores, and Tequila Bars

So I'm working on a new section to TEQUILA.net that will make sharing info about Mexico travel - distilleries (to start) very easy and informative. Information will include exact locations of distilleries, for Tequila, Mezcal, Sotol, etc.

If you have photos of distilleries that you care to share, it would make my life easier, as I can't visit each and every one. Also, when visiting any distillery or location in Mexico that is worth sharing, try to record the longitude and latitude, as this makes it easy to pinpoint on a map.

If you are a brand owner, distillery owner, please email me photos of your distillery and production process, with longitude and latitude location and I will get you added to the map.

Send me a private message if you don't have my email.

This will be a great addition that everyone can benefit from, and can be used for many other things besides distilleries, including top agave restaurants, bars, stores, etc. I will post the link once I have a few sections ready, as I am currently testing...

Gracias!

This sounds like a great feature Mr A, I only hope it will have some good info before my trip in Feb 08. It will be nice to see the places where fellow tequila enthusiast like to visit.

I have started with distilleries, but see it going in many other directions. So when you go to Mexico, if you can record any Agave friendly stores, restaurants / bars, etc. we can expand this easily. To get the exact location it would be best to record the longitude and latitude with a GPS.

Here is what I have so far:

http://distilleries.tequila.net

A few of the locations on the distillery map have photo galleries, click on the logos after you click on the location pointer. Don Valente and HDC Sotol are the ones currently.

Let me know what you think...

Tequila Friendly Liquor Stores and Tequila Friendly Bars / Restaurants Map has been posted. This actually pulls from the review section of the Tequila Stores and Tequila Bars area, so any new additions will automatically be shown on the map if you include the GPS location. Ability to show only Tequila Bars, or Liquor Stores, or both. You may have to zoom in on several areas to see the separation of locations.

http://bars.tequila.net

I will be adding another category for both Stores and Bars in addition to the US and Mexico, so you can note other locations around the world.

To add new listings, see this article in the FAQ's.

Mr A,

You should add another feature to the maps so we can keep track of where you are. Like where's Waldo? A little Riedel glass showing "Where in Mexico is Mr. A?"

That is a good idea! I'd have to try and make it difficult to find me though, plus the ol lady could track me down as well.
