New Tequila Brand and Distillery Database - UPDATED Dec. 2011

The distillery database has been updated and is current with CRT database from the week ending on 9-26-2008.

Tons of new brands added since the last update one year ago. I added approximately 190 new brands, and removed around 30.

Some brand names worth noting for their "shiny individuality":

Super T (Superman's favorite Tequila)

Big Boy
Fat A S S (anyone try this yet?)

Wow, the naming of Tequilas has really taken a dive. I get the feeling that all of these Tequilas are for the export market and aimed at college kids? I guess someone has to go after that market.


I want to see a Tequila called Fat Bastard, I'll try that one.

The NOM database interface has been updated with a new look. Starting 2008, all brand movement will be logged, and we will be able to see brand history if they change distilleries. I will not remove the brands anymore either, they will stay in the database, but will not show any distillery assignment if they go away or do not stay current with the CRT.

More information will be added for distilleries, location, phone, contact, and will show in the new information window. Extra sorting has been added, quick NOM number search, and search as you type. Give it a whirl.

I have tested it with many browsers, mozilla, safari, chrome, and IE. There seem to be a few issues with IE and I am working on those. If you see a blank screen, try a different browser or update your MS IE.

Brand and distillery database updated today to CRT list dated November 24, 2008.

Only real interesting thing I saw was the addition of METL 2012 to Cia. Tequilera La Quemada... they have been producing Mezcal the past couple of years, now it seems they are moving into the Tequila industry as well.

Am I right two assume that 2 distilleries went under since 2 new ones were added but the total number is the same?

Hard to say, the CRT pulls distilleries and brands from their list each week, and then they show up again a few weeks later. I'm assuming the distilleries and brands have to stay current somehow... time will tell.
