You'll have no luck bringing any bottles through security. Only way is to pack the tequila in your luggage. And plan ahead, take some clear plastic bags (and tape) to wrap around the bottles just in case they leak. I would also recommend some bubble wrap to help cushion the blows your suitcase will take.
Shipping, they can't legally ship spirits to anyone except a licensed importer or spirits broker. And that brand must already have the necessary clearance into the US, from the FDA, etc. |

Yeah, I have not been there in awhile and I was afraid of that. I too am pretty good at packing the suit case with plenty of bubble wrapp, zip locks and tape. I was wondering if maybe you could box your own "Collector Bottles" and ship them back UPS or something.

There are allot of shops past security you will find some good deals on JCRF 2.5L for around $185 I think, HSS for $170-185ish, 1921, etc. I think you are better off to buy from the actual duty free, there are other private shops and I have a feeling that they give you the bottles right away which means you could loose them boarding the plane. As well if you have a connecting flight in USA you will need to be able to get at your checked luggage to pack your bottle(s). A hard sided suit case and lots of bubble wrap..... good luck.
