Our Favorite Tequila Brand

I am just curious as to if our current favorite tequila brand poll is accurate. I look and vote on this poll quite often and am continually seeing a lot of votes for Patron (18.5% of the votes to be exact). While my intent is not to bash Patron or its customers, I am very confused by this. I am very active on the forums and had always thought that the majority of the people did not like Patron (I assumed this by some of the forum responses). In short, I guess what I am asking is do the rest of you think this poll is reflective of your opinions or do you think otherwise? Like I said previously, I am only trying to see if my original assumption was wrong and by no means want or intend to offend anyone. I appreciate all your opinions.

Could be a few things, Patron does have a large share of the market in USA therefore there must be allot of people drinking it.... somewhere. I myself do not prefer patron, would drink it if I had to, but it does serve a purpose to introduce people to 100% tequila. So to my point there are allot of people new to tequila coming here to get information and right now the best they have tried is Patron, and they will vote for what they know.

Well that is where the whole story starts, it is probably one of the first things people see when they visit this site for the first time, and as wichie stated, they basically are going to vote for what they know,and what they know is Patron, it unfortunate, but you can't blame them for that, now once they get more familiar with 100% tequilas , this might sway their vote, but who knows some people actually like this stuff. I give them all the credit in the world for opening peoples eyes to the world of premium tequila, but they are by no means the the finest premium tequila, perhaps in the top 30, but that's as close as they'll get.

Rosco, thanks for your response. I agree that Patron has done wonders for tequila as a whole. Once again, I want to state that I am by no means blaming or trying to sway votes with this topic on the forum but just understand the differences between posts on the forum and results on the poll. I thank you all for your responses and opinions.

so i work for a grocery store, and occasionally they throw me in the liquor dept. to help out whenever someone is on vacation, etc. so i was there 8 hours today, and sold (1) 30/30 (1) Centenario (3 or so) Cuervo Gold (1) Sauza Gold and (5) Patron (4 silver, 1 repo). i found that very interesting.

I am shocked that someone bought a bottle of Patron Repo. I have never seen anyone order a shot of the repo let alone a bottle. Maybe it is more popular in other areas.

you know i got a gift set of the patron for christmas last year from a coworker which had a bottle of each 750 ml. bottle, it was nice presentation, i tried the repo but they all pretty much where used for margaritas...
