Default Tequila Town Addresses: Cabo, Cozumel, and PDC

Direct from the shopping bag:

Cabo San Lucas
I. Cardenas y Zaragoza
Tel. 624-105-1505
Plaza Gali local No. 20 y 22 This is along the Marina, near the docks between Fiesta Mexicana and Senor Frog's - if you walk between these stores down the alleyway, it's the third store on the left.

Playa Del Carmen If you are walking down Fifth, Constituyentes is the street with a roundabout and a giant carved head. Walk to the right in the direction of the water about five stores (past the really insistent jewelry sellers) and you will hit Tequila Town.
Constituyentes y 1 Ave.
Tel. 984-879-4417

Cozumel
5ta. Ave. y rosado Salas
Tel. 987-872-7366
y Quinta Av. entre Juarez y las dos

The PDC TT has one dollar cervezas and a drinking porch with chairs made out of barrels, as well as a walk-in humidor. Lots of high end stuff as well. If you are looking to book a hotel in the Riviera Maya, I suggest the 5-star Royal Playa del Carmen, adults only, as it is directly across the street. If you are travelling with kids, the Gran Porto Real is a 4-star family resort on the other side of the street, beside Tequila Town. Both hotels are within two blocks of 5th Avenue, which is a street with many tequila opportunities (bars as well as shops that sell tequilas). The Royal has the usual suspects (Hornitos, Cazadores, Don Julio Repo) but they also have a tequila bar on site, where you can purchase varied brands (Xalisco, Azul, DJ 1942, Centinela, Lapis, and so on). I am not a shill for either the stores or the hotels, I just like the idea of being within 100 feet of a fully-stocked tequila store.

Pablo and my purchases. Please note the bubble wrap - he did a supersweet wrapping job that protected my bottles. This guy is knowledgeable and generous with the samples. What more could you ask for? He also said he only had met one other woman who loves tequila as much as I do - funnily enough, that woman is also Canadian. (Maybe I should call it tequil-"eh?" instead of tequil-"ah"!)

Were the bottles on the top row at Tequila Town for sale too, or just display?

I believe those were for mostly display purposes but hey, if you're ever down there, money talks and mierda de toro walks... so worth asking if it's for sale. Tell me, what is it you saw that intrigues you?

This is the same bottle of Porfidio at La Europea - note the price difference from Tequila Town. It's at the Puerto Paraiso end of the Marina, and Tequila Town is at the other end. Best to do a reconnaissance mission and compare the prices of the tequilas you really want, to maximize dollar benefit. TT had varieties LE did not have so it's definitely a must to hit both stores, IMHO.

Just curious, I'm always drawn to the stuff that doesn't have prices. I do see a couple of older Herradura bottles, and that Cabron bottle is a good collectible.
