Default Partida Elegante sale

Some of you may have seen that Hi Times has got a sale on this tequila, from $350 to $180. Those of you who do like the expensive stuff and have tried this, is this tequila worth it? What do you think of this? I'm kinda considering this but still not sure if it's worth it or not? Is it like Don Julio Real, where I would much more readily put the money towards the cheaper but better 1942, or is it like Chinaco Negro where I hear it's worth ever penny? Just wondering what the thoughts of others are. Thanks for any replies.

I would agree with most that the initial lots of Chinaco Negro were so good that you actually felt like it was $200 well spent. Who knows what they're serving in the Negro now.

The last time I had Elegante it was good, but not stellar, and definitely not worth the high price tag. $180 is still a little high, I would rather get 4-5 bottles of Tequila in the $40-50 range.

I still search for the first lots of Chinaco Negro, German bottled some phenomenal juice IMHO!
